Hendrikson & Ko has been associated with a number of professional organisations in Estonia and internationally.
Estonian Association of Spatial Planners is Estonia’s leading organization in the field of spatial planning. The mission of the Association is elaboration and dissemination of best planning practice, development of cooperation between planning specialists by creating a regular communication platform, systematisation of planning-related information, the Association is also taking part in elaborating legal acts.
The Association was created in 2002 with active cooperation with Hendrikson & Ko. Since then the experts of Hendrikson & Ko have been on the Board of the Association and for several periods we have acted as the chairman of the Association.
Estonian Association of Impact Assessment was created in 2012 to join experts who according to Estonian legislation have the right to act as experts in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA). The general purpose of the Association is to promote the knowledge and to improve the system for impact assessment in Estonia.
Hendrikson & Ko actively participated in the foundation of the Estonian Association of Impact Assessment. Kuido Kartau was elected as the first chairman of the Association and Riin Kutsar became the chairman for the second period, both leading environmental experts from Hendrikson & Ko.
The Estonian Green Building Council (GBC) is the leading organisation of sustainable development in Estonia. The main purpose of the organisation is to promote the highest quality levels in planning, design, construction and operation for energy and real estate. Estonian GBC is a member of the World Green Building Council network, which has members in over 100 countries, all over the world. Hendrikson & Ko was one of the first companies to join the Estonian Green Building council in 2013.
Hendrikson & Ko is also a member of Real estate and Energy Cluster which unites developers, owners, and companies in the real estate and energy sector, who provide services across the whole sustainable building cycle.
IAIA is the International Association for Impact Assessment, the leading global network on best practice in the use of impact assessment for informed decision making regarding policies, programs, plans, and projects. The mission of IAIA is to provide the international forum for advancing innovation and communication of best practice in all forms of impact assessment so as to further the development of local, regional, and global capacity in impact assessment.
Several Hendrikson & Ko experts are members of IAIA and every year some of us attend IAIA conferences, held annually in different parts of the world. Our experts are active in IAIA work, also contributing to different sessions.
